Inspiring Teachers

In my book, every air personality should be identified with at the very least one 'good cause.'

Sure, it's great PR .. and sends a message that you care about your community and are working for good. But, as with any kind of volunteer work, the paybacks actually come from the opportunity to meet and be inspired personally by the kind of folks who give their time and money to make our world a better place.

If you need any more inspiration than those words, take a look at the work of Dyan Hershman and Emma McDonald at Texas-based "Inspiring Teachers Publishing."

Sure, it's a business .. and a book they are trying to sell, but, click around their website and see if - like me - it doesn't give you some good ideas of needs you could fill locally!
